Decor and stylish furnishings add to the enjoyment of your event.
Eating out in New York City can be exciting, entertaining and quite enjoyable. Choosing a restaurant involves more than finding one with a good menu, however. The restaurant's size and atmosphere are just as important, especially when you wish to reserve space for a private party. Restaurants in New York City offer variety, from small with comfort food to large with fine cuisine. Consider the mood of your special occasion private party, and choose a restaurant with the decor and general atmosphere to ensure a memorable afternoon or evening. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Minetta Tavern
Minetta Tavern takes parties up to six to eight people for dinner during the week and weekends. Brunch offers more flexibility, with the restaurant accommodating a party of nine to 10 people. A separate room is not available, and large parties receive one large section of the restaurant. The menu offers French comfort food. The best known item is a black label burger made from aged beef. A dish with lentils also is available, as is a poultry dish. The decor is casual yet upscale. The restaurant has no dress code, but patrons tend to be on the dressy side. Vandaag
Northern Europe inspires the cuisine of Vandaag. The basic items of meat, fish and pork are prepared with Scandanavian spices and flavors. For instance, the restaurant offers a pork chop with toasted barley, pear and mead. The menu also includes grilled quail with sweet and sour brussels sprouts and wild rice. Private party guests during the week may choose sandwiches for lunch or select from the full menu for dinner. The private parties are only during brunch on weekends.
