It's easy to shop around for a supplier of LP gas for your home.
There are several reasons you might wish to switch from one supplier of liquid propane gas, often called LP gas, to another. As when dealing with any retail merchant, you should consider price, service, reliability, reputation and other factors when choosing who will gets your business. If you own the tank, just ask the new supplier to deliver the gas. Often, gas dealers lend or lease tanks to homeowners so you can't just call an alternate dealer. If you don't own the LP tank outside your home, your new dealer won't put his gas into the old provider's tank. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Contact the dealer with whom you want to start using to find out how long it will take to install one of their tanks or one you have purchased.
2. Monitor the gauge on the LP tank outside your home to see when the contents drop below 15 percent. You might as well use the gas you've already paid for before switching dealers.
3. Contact your present dealer once the gas level gets to 15 percent so you can schedule the company to remove its tank from your property before it drops below 10 percent.
4. Call the new dealer once the appointment is set to confirm their arrival to install the tank so you aren't out of fuel for a significant length of time.
