Use Wheatgrass

Use Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass is a popular nutritional supplement and is available in bottles at your local health food store, fresh shots from a juice bar or you can even grow your own. Regardless of where you get your wheatgrass, there are a lot of ways to benefit from it.

Instructions

1. Drink the juice as is. As a nutritional supplement, most nutritionists recommend 2 to 4 oz. daily taken on an empty stomach. Remember that wheatgrass juice can give you a boost of energy, so avoid drinking the juice before bed.

2. Gargle the juice, as wheatgrass can soothe a sore throat, reduce swelling caused by dental infections or gingivitis, neutralize bad breath and help to keep the gums firm and healthy.

3. Pour a cup or two of pure wheatgrass juice into a warm bathtub to soften and tighten the skin, soothe itch and irritation and help heal wounds.

4. Treat skin conditions by soaking a clean bandage in wheatgrass juice and applying to wounds, skin ulcers, boils, rashes, insect bites and even fungal infections. Change the bandage every 4 hours and continue application as long as needed.

5. Massage your scalp with a bit of wheatgrass juice before you shampoo the keep the skin moisturized and dandruff free.

6. Grow wheatgrass at home and keep a tray in your bedroom to use as a natural sleep aid. As wheatgrass grows, it generates oxygen, helps to purify the air and produces negative ions which are thought to help you sleep peacefully.
