Find Free Grocery Coupons

Free Grocery Coupons

A simple way to save money is to use coupons when shopping for groceries. You might be surprised to find how much these discounts can add up. Grocery coupons can range anywhere from a few cents off of an item to coupons offering products for free.

Here are some easy ways to find free grocery coupons.

Instructions

1. Check your local Sunday edition newspaper, community news publications and inside magazines you receive as they are likely to contain grocery coupons. Look for places in your area that distribute free copies of local newspapers, as grocery stores and product manufacturers sometimes offer grocery coupons inside. Popular locations to find these newspapers are restaurants, community centers and shopping centers.

2. Be on the lookout at the grocery store. Some stores have grocery coupons available in the aisles for specific products that are being promoted. Other common places for grocery coupons are near store entrances, in free recipe brochures offered by the store and along with or on the backside of your grocery store receipt.

3. Look on your favorite grocery store's website. You may find some great deals and coupons you can download and print out for free. Also many stores now offer electronic coupons you can download onto your store discount card. These are automatically deducted when you go shopping and you don't have to mess with clipping or remembering to bring the paper type grocery coupons.

4. Search to see if the manufacturers of the brands you buy have a web site. Many offer grocery coupons you can print out. Often when a company introduces a new product they will offer coupons trying to get people to try it. Sometimes you may even find coupons offering products for free.

5. Email the consumer division of your favorite companies, tell them how much you enjoy their products and ask if they can mail you coupons. Be sure to include your mailing address.

Many people think you have to complain in order to get something. This simply is not true. You can receive several grocery coupons by praising products you use and enjoy. However, if you have a valid complaint, it is certainly okay to notify the company about it and you will likely receive coupons for doing so.

Limit contacting each company for coupons to once or twice a year.

6. You may want to consider using a coupon clipping service. These are places you can find online where the coupons are free, but you pay for the grocery coupons to be clipped and mailed to you. Usually the fees and shipping costs are minimal, but there may be a minimum order amount. This can save you time and is a great way to get several coupons for the same item. Use these coupons for stocking up on items you purchase regularly for the best deal. Some examples of these services can be found on online auction sites or you can do an online search using the terms "coupon clipping service" to find others.

7. Print grocery coupons from online sources. There are web sites where you can print free grocery coupons. Do an online search using terms such as "print free coupons", "free grocery coupons online" etc.

Some examples of web sites offering free grocery coupons can be found in the resources section below.

8. Keep your eyes peeled. You may find free grocery coupons in unusual places. Some manufactures attach coupons onto other products. For example, in some stores grocery coupons can be found on wine bottles. These are referred to as "wine tags" and often include grocery coupons for items such as meats and cheeses.

Another place to watch for coupons are public areas with a lot of foot traffic. In some areas product manufacturers distribute coupons to the public as a way to advertise their products. This may be at popular shopping centers, public transportation stations, at local events, etc.
