Lili's 57 has a full sushi bar with a half-dozen gluten-free sushi rolls from which to choose.
They say that you can find anything in New York City, and gluten-free dining is no exception. Whether you are visiting New York City on business or are a local recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, many restaurants now have gluten-free items on their menu. However, there are a few restaurants in Manhattan that stand out for their dedication to providing safe, enjoyable dining and a large selection of gluten-free dishes. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Pala Pizza
Safe and delicious pizza or pasta can be difficult to find on a gluten-free diet because most restaurants struggle to separate gluten-free food in their busy kitchens. But Pala Pizza understands the needs of its gluten-free customers and has a dedicated fryer and oven for their gluten-free dishes. In addition to safety, the restaurant skips the typical white-rice flour pizza crusts and pasta, which can be crumbly and tasteless. Instead, Pala chefs opt for a combination of fava bean, tapioca, garbanzo bean, rice and white sorghum flours for gluten-free pizzas. For pasta, Pala uses rice, potato and soy flour for their penne, brown rice flour for fusilli and corn and quinoa flour for spaghetti. To avoid gluten contamination, gluten-free pizza and regular pizzas are not made at the same time; so if you are ordering pizza, ask your server about wait times. If you want to eat at home, delivery is available.

Candle Caf
For gluten-free diners that also require vegan food, Candle Caf is a good option. A small restaurant on 3rd Avenue between 74th and 75th, the quaint caf has a "green" philosophy, and has initiated practices to reduce their carbon footprint. They use local produce as much as possible, and most of their menu uses organic food, free of pesticides and hormones. Candle Caf provides a simple menu with a variety of gluten-free appetizers, salads, sides and entrees. If you are in the mood for dessert, gluten-free and vegan soy ice-cream is available in chocolate, vanilla and mocha swirl. Delivery, take-out and catering are available.

Lili's 57
If you're in the mood for Asian cuisine, Lili's 57 may be the place to go. The restaurant provides a wide variety of various Asian dishes and a full sushi bar. Due to the common use of soy sauce in Asian cuisine, it can be difficult to find an Asian restaurant with enough menu items from which to choose. But at Lili's 57 there are over a dozen entrees, in addition to fried rice, sushi rolls, rice noodles, soup, salad and appetizers. Located near the south side of Central Park, you can choose to dine in, or order delivery--which can be conveniently ordered from their website.
