Good Recipes For Protein Shakes

Protein shakes are an excellent way to consume large amounts of protein quickly. The fruit, yogurt, and juice combinations are endless. Adding a touch of ice gives a nice touch to an already tasty, refreshing drink. Use the following protein shake recipes to stay healthy and alert while tantalizing your taste buds all at the same time.

Pineapple passion

Add 8 ounces of pineapple juice to your blender. Peel a medium banana and chop it into four pieces. Add the chopped banana to the blender with one scoop of vanilla-flavored protein powder and blend thoroughly.

A touch of low-fat heaven

Add 8 ounces of ice cold skim milk to a large cup. Add a serving of vanilla, chocolate or strawberry protein powder. Add a cup of flavored, low-fat yogurt of your choice. Swiftly stir the contents until the protein powder has dissolved. Mix the drink until the yogurt is smooth.

A frozen frenzy

Add a cup of ice cubes to a blender. Next add 8 ounces of Tropicana Tropics orange, strawberry and banana juice. Add two cups of flavored yogurt for protein. First, select the ice crush mode on your blender and crush the ice cubes into smaller pieces. Then select the blend mode to blend all the contents together. Note that if the shake is too thin, you should add a few more ice cubes. If the shake is too thick, add a few ounces of purified water.

Chocolate and peanut butter madness

Create a tasty, high-protein shake with chocolate and peanut butter. Add a cup of milk or water to a glass with five ice cubes, a cup of natural peanut butter and a scoop of chocolate protein powder. Mix the shake thoroughly so that the peanut butter is evenly distributed throughout the drink. Add a double shot of each ingredient, except ice, to get the maximum amount of protein.

A vegan's delight

Vegans can enjoy a soy milk-based protein shake by adding plain, vanilla, strawberry or chocolate soy milk to a blender. Add a banana or two smaller pieces of fruit. Add a three or four ice cubes to thicken. Blend and serve. Vegans can also consider using rice or almond milk.
