You can make puppy formula for your little ones.
Growing puppies occasionally need to be supplemented to ensure healthy growth and development. Inexperienced mothers, tragic accidents or illnesses can result in the need to hand-rear a litter of puppies, and a complete milk replacer is vital to the health and welfare of your puppies. A variety of recipes are available for your growing litter, which are simple to make and will supply adequate nutrition to your little ones.
Instructions
1. Combine 1 cup of goat's milk, two raw egg yolks, 2 tbsp. of Karo syrup and one dropper of liquid vitamins. Stir thoroughly. Use the formula immediately or refrigerate it for up to two days.
2. Combine 1/2 cup of evaporated milk, 1/2 cup of sterilized water, 1 tbsp. of Karo syrup, 2 tbsp. of whole-fat yogurt, one dropper of liquid vitamins and two raw egg yolks in a blender. Blend until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Use immediately or refrigerate until needed. Use this formula for puppies who need long-term bottle feeding.
3. Make sure the hole in the nipple is big enough to allow formula to pass through but small enough that the pup does not aspirate the milk.
4. Stimulate the puppy to ensure she is using the bathroom. Dampen a cotton ball with warm water and gently rub over the abdomen and genital area after every feeding.
