Cajun Restaurants In Seattle Washington

Crawfish is on the menu of every Cajun restaurant in Seattle

New Orleans and Seattle are on opposite corners of the country, yet that doesn't prevent a number of authentic Cajun restaurants from being located in Seattle. Seattle is a cosmopolitan city with residents who settle there from all corners of the globe. Seattle is also a city that loves its food, and since nearly every ethnic and regional cuisine can be found in its restaurants, it's no wonder that Cajun cuisine, and its sibling Creole cuisine, are well represented in the waterfront city.

Bayou On First

In the iconic Pike Place Market, just steps away from an abundance of local seafood and produce, Bayou on First serves up freshly-cooked Cajun food every day of the week. All of the familiar Cajun items are on the menu, like gumbos and jambalaya. Crawfish is represented in a breakfast omelet and the classic crawfish etoufee. Several Po-boy sandwiches are available for lunch and dinner.

Crawfish is ordered by the pound and comes to the table in a boiling bag. Potatoes, corn and sausage can be added to the order. The restaurant is located in the International District and is open every day of the week, as of April 2010.

Marcela's Creole Cookery

Specializing in Cajun and New Orleans dishes, Marcela's Creole Cookery is as authentic as it gets. The owners of the restaurant relocated to Seattle from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, to the gratification of diners and restaurant critics who tout the restaurant's Muffaletta sandwich as the best in town. Unique menu items like crawfish pies and fried alligator add to the authenticity. The Pioneer Square restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is closed on Sunday.
