Keep Hamburgers Warm Without Drying Out

Keep hamburgers warm in the oven or in a cooler.

Whether you're frying up burgers on the stovetop or grilling them on your backyard barbeque, you'll want to keep the burgers moist without drying out. This is not a problem if you'll be serving the burgers right away, but if you want to cook the burgers ahead of time and serve them later, you can keep the meat warm so they retain their juices and don't dry out. Use the oven method if you want to keep your burgers warm for an hour or more. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Oven Method

1. Fill an oven-safe saucepan with broth. If your hamburgers are beef, use beef broth. If they're turkey, use turkey broth. Use enough broth so your burgers will be completely covered when they're put in the pan.

2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Put the broth-filled saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until hot.

3. Place the cooked burgers in the broth. Put the saucepan in the oven to keep the burgers warm until you're ready to serve them. The broth will help the burgers to stay moist.

Cooler Method

4. Put the cooked hamburgers into an aluminum tray. Wrap the tray tightly with foil.

5. Line the inside of a cooler with aluminum foil. Put down a towel on top of the foil in the bottom of the cooler.

6. Place the foil-wrapped aluminum tray inside the cooler. Lay another towel on top of the tray. Close the lid tightly on the cooler.
