Syracuse University Summer College for High School Students

The six-week summer college in fashion design at Syracuse University gives high school sophomores and juniors the opportunity to learn drawing and construction skills while earning six college credits. Program participants study fashion magazines, develop their own accessory lines and design a garment that can be used in a portfolio when applying to a college program. Students also spend one week in a computer laboratory where they experiment with fabric design. While in the program, students live in a residence hall. A commuter option is available for students who live in the Syracuse area. The application package consists of transcripts, an essay, two recommendations, SAT scores and copies of parents' tax returns if the student wants to be considered for financial aid.
