Hanukkah Gifts For Women

Gift a female friend with a special token to celebrate Hannukah.

Hannukah is a very important holiday in the Jewish faith. It celebrates light and requires the burning of an oil lamp for eight days. Gift-giving at Hannukah is not the same as it is for Christmas and gifts are not expected, but many Jewish people gift each other during this time of year since it usually falls around traditional Christmastime.

Menorah

Give your friend a new menorah or a special one that she'll love to display in her home during Hannukah. Though most Jewish people already own menorahs, they make an interesting item to collect. They come in all styles and colors, some even themed for different interests and hobbies. Include some nice menorah candles to complete your present.

Jewelry

Jewish-themed jewelry is a beautiful reminder of your friend's faith. A Star of David necklace or charm, Tree of Life necklace, a set of Hamsa earrings or just some pretty beads are all good ideas. Check online for Jewish jewelers or if you live in a large Jewish community, there are probably some shops that stock Jewish-themed jewelry.

Cooking

Jewish faith brings to mind some delicious food. If your friend loves to cook, present her with a new Jewish cookbook full of recipes she'll love. Latkes, blintzes, strudels and challah are a few special foods associated with Judaism. Add a kosher bottle of wine or new cooking pan with your gift for a present a foodie will love.
