A popular Indian restaurants in Bangkok, Indus is an upscale Indian eatery famous for its elegant atmosphere and its mix of authentic and nouvelle Indian cuisine. Start with the hot and sour soup, an Indian salad or a lamb wrap. For an entree, try one of their specialties; the tiger prawns or the Indus Tapas (Indian-style tapas platter). Here too, bread is baked fresh while you wait. The vegetarian menu is extensive as is the dessert menu. Indus is located just off Sukhumvit, Bangkok's main restaurant, shopping and hotel street, and close to the city's sky train.

India Gate


India Gate is a modern Indian restaurant that serves Indian cuisine from many different areas of India, and was awarded the 2009 Thailand's Best Restaurant Award by Thailand Tatler magazine. There's a large selection of breads to start, along with vegetable samosa, onion bhaji, aloo tikki and much more. For entrees, there's fish masala, prawn masala, mutton rada, chicken vindaloo, handi chicken and lots more meat and fish dishes, as well as an extensive vegetarian menu.


On Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant has an "all you can eat" buffet for an inexpensive price that's a great opportunity to try many of the restaurant's signature dishes. India Gate is located on Sukhumvit Soi 12, just around the corner from the Asoke sky train station.
