Buckwheat hulls serve as comfortable pillow filling.

Unlike other materials, buckwheat doesn't conduct or absorb heat, making them a comfortable filling for pillows. Preserving and saving a buckwheat pillow serves as an easy way to make sure yours lasts, whether it's homemade or commercially purchased. Saving your buckwheat pillows properly keeps them long-lasting and safe from wear and tear. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Measure the dimensions of your buckwheat pillow by measuring lengthwise and then widthwise. Measure and cut a segment of canvas matching the size of your pillow.
2. Place the buckwheat pillow over the center of the canvas segment.
3. Fold the bottom of the canvas upward, allowing it to cover the lower half of the pillow. Do this with the top half of the fabric, overlapping it over the first flap.
4. Squeeze a thick line of fabric glue lengthwise across the overlapping fabric.
5. Fold the sides in, adhering them to the folded, glued flaps. This encases the pillow in a permanent canvas envelope. Canvas is a durable fabric that allows you to save your buckwheat pillows for years to come.
6. Slide the enveloped buckwheat pillow into the pillowcase you have chosen. This adds further protection while concealing any blemishes made during the enveloping process.
