Drinking an energy drink before a workout gives you an extra boost.
Everyone can use some extra energy from time to time. You may need extra energy when waking up in the morning or after your afternoon lunch. Some extra energy can help motivate you to work out. Caffeine, in coffee and soda, only gives you a short boost of energy. To avoid having to drink multiple cups of coffee, you can drink an energy drink that will provide you with up to five hours of energy. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
1. Recognize signs of tiredness and fatigue. Poor diet, hormone imbalances and lack of sleep can all make you tired and groggy. If you constantly run out of energy halfway through the day and have trouble concentrating, you may need an energy boost.
2. Consult with your doctor about any medications that you are taking or underlying medical issues that can cause you to feel fatigued and lacking energy. Certain medicines, such as blood pressure medication and antibiotics, can make you feel tired and fatigued.
3. Educate yourself about the safety precautions of your energy drink. Some energy drinks are not recommended if you are pregnant, nursing, take medications or have a certain medical condition. There may also be an age restriction that applies.
4. Drink half of your energy drink if you need a moderate energy boost. Wait 10 minutes to see how your body responds to it. Drink the remainder if you feel in need of more energy.
5. Avoid drinking more than two energy drinks per day. If you consume two drinks daily, space them out over the day.
6. Store and discard any leftover product according to instructions on the bottle.
