Hydroxycut is a popular dietary supplement that is heavily marketed as a fat burner that will aid in rapid weight loss. Hydroxycut can also cause users to develop seizures, cardiovascular disorders and rhabdomyolysis -- a type of muscle damage that is linked to kidney failure.

The ingredient list for Hydroxycut is extensive. The diet pill contains potassium, calcium, chromium, Hydroxagen Plus, garcinia cambogia extract, gymnema sylvestre extract, soy phospholipids, rhodiola rosea extract, withania somnifera extract root, green tea extract, supplying polyphenols, catechins epigallocatechin gallate, caffeine anhydrous, white tea extract and oolong tea extract. Other ingredients include hydroxypropyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, croscarmellose sodium (sodium chloride, sodium glycolate), vegetable stearate, coating (polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol, talc), silica, acesulfame potassium, maltodextrin and propylene oxide.
